The Benefits of Cloud Computing

Cloud computing refers to storing and accessing your data and programs through the internet, rather than your computer’s hard drive. Because everything is accessed online, there are many benefits to this process. One of the biggest advantages of cloud computing is cost efficiency. Not only can you save money on licensing fees, but overhead costs including data storage, software updates, etc., will be reduced as well. Another benefit of cloud computing is its eco-friendliness. Since the cloud is more efficient than a typical IT infrastructure and does not require as many resources to compute, it allows you to consume less power and save energy. The cloud is also easily accessible from anywhere in the world, and on virtually any device, making it very convenient to access. Because of its countless advantages, cloud computing is continuing to grow and has strong potential for the future.

 1. View Time stamp on Messages

If you’ve ever wondered what time a specific message has arrived, you can now find out with the new update. Simply swipe from right to left in any conversation and a time stamp will appear.

2. Make Audio-Only FaceTime Calls.

You can now call other iOS or OS X devices without having to use up your minutes, or having anyone see you. The audio-only FaceTime allows you to make calls through the FaceTime app the same way you would for a video call, just click the phone icon instead.

3. Block Calls and Messages

You can finally get rid of spam texts and unwanted phone calls through the new iOS at the touch of a button, no more waiting on hold trying to ask your wireless provider to do it for you. If you want to block a number, just go to Settings > Phone and/or Settings > Messages, and toward the bottom you will see the Blocked section. Just tap the section to add a number to the list, if you change your mind you can always delete them from the list.

4. Change Text Size

The new update allows you to adjust the font size of your apps. To make this change go to Settings > General > Text Size and move the slider to adjust the font size. The font size changes in real time on your screen so you can easily adjust it based on your preferences.

5. Background Updates

This feature will allow all of your apps to automatically update, rather than having to manually install app updates. To enable this, go to Settings > iTunes & App Store, then switch the On/Off toggle for Automatic Downloads.
