Cloud computing refers to storing and accessing your data
and programs through the internet, rather than your computer’s hard drive.
Because everything is accessed online, there are many benefits to this process.
One of the biggest advantages of cloud computing is cost efficiency. Not only
can you save money on licensing fees, but overhead costs including data
storage, software updates, etc., will be reduced as well. Another benefit of
cloud computing is its eco-friendliness. Since the cloud is more efficient than
a typical IT infrastructure and does not require as many resources to compute,
it allows you to consume less power and save energy. The cloud is also easily accessible
from anywhere in the world, and on virtually any device, making it very
convenient to access. Because of its countless advantages, cloud computing is
continuing to grow and has strong potential for the future.

Google coming to a Starbucks Coffee near you
Coffee connoisseur?
Internet addict? We have great news for you! Google has announced it
will be teaming up with Starbucks to bring faster WiFi to all of their 7,000
locations. This transition from AT&T to Google means browsing speeds up to
10x faster, and even 100x faster in Google Fiber cities. That’s right, no more
waiting 5 minutes to load one page!
Google has begun the rollout this month, but the entire
transition is expected to take up to 18 months. Wondering if Google has hit
your favorite Starbucks yet? Once you see the “Google Starbucks” SSID, you’ll
be able to expect improved browsing speeds.
